Tejashwi Yadav to challenge Nitish government in Bihar Assembly
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, is gearing up to confront the Nitish Kumar-led government over key issues like unemployment, migration, and what he calls a “hollow” state Budget.
Tejashwi has vowed to “expose” the government’s claims of development, while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to respond during the discussion. The opposition argues that the Budget lacks concrete job creation plans and fails to address the issue of large-scale migration from Bihar.
Law and order concerns, including rising crime rates, will also be raised. The session will see discussions on various departments, with ministers responding to queries. During Zero Hour, opposition members are set to highlight urgent public concerns.
Last week, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan praised the NDA government’s development initiatives in his address. However, Tejashwi is preparing to challenge these claims, making Tuesday’s Assembly session highly anticipated and politically charged.
On Monday, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Samrat Choudhary, presented the ₹3.17 lakh crore Budget for the financial year 2025-26. While the NDA hailed it as a development roadmap, the RJD dismissed it as empty rhetoric.
