Six Telangana students return from Iran, Israel amid Middle East crisis
Six students from Telangana have safely returned from conflict-affected Iran and Israel, while seven more citizens are expected to arrive later today, officials said on Monday.
Four of the returning students came from Iran and two from Israel. They landed in New Delhi late Sunday night. Telangana Bhavan in the national capital coordinated their safe arrival and onward journey.
The students, who had pre-booked flights to Hyderabad, were assisted by Telangana Bhavan staff early Monday morning. Officials ensured their comfort during the stopover, providing support until they boarded their connecting flights.
The Telangana government, closely monitoring the ongoing Middle East crisis, continues to assist its citizens returning from the region. Seven more Telangana residents, who recently crossed from Israel into Jordan, are expected to arrive in Delhi today. Arrangements are in place to receive and support them at the airport and the Telangana Bhavan.
Some Telangana residents remain stranded in Israel due to temporary airspace closures. Despite the disruption, officials assured that efforts are ongoing to bring them back safely. The state is in constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian embassies, and concerned authorities.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to provide timely assistance, including accommodation and onward travel, to every returning Telangana citizen. The state has also set up a dedicated helpline at Telangana Bhavan following last week’s missile strikes between Israel and Iran.
Citizens have been urged to stay connected with official channels and avoid unverified sources of information. The Telangana government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its people during this critical period.
