Union Home and Home Minister Amit Shah, Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Revered Saints, Takes a Sacred Dip at Maha Kumbh 2025

India’s Honorable Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Shri Amit Shah, accompanied by his family, Uttar Pradesh’s Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Yogi Adityanath, and several revered saints, participated in the world’s largest spiritual congregation, the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. As a mark of deep faith and devotion, they took a holy dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the three divine rivers—Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna, and Maa Saraswati. Following the traditional rituals, they offered prayers and performed Vedic ceremonies to honor the sacred rivers, invoking divine blessings for the welfare of the nation and all humanity.
After completing the sacred bath and puja, Shri Amit Shah and his entourage also paid their respects at the ancient and revered Akshayavat (Sacred Banyan Tree) and Saraswati Koop (Saraswati Well), both of which hold immense religious and historical significance in Hindu tradition. The Akshayavat is believed to be an eternal, indestructible tree that symbolizes immortality, while the Saraswati Koop is revered as a divine well associated with the mystical underground flow of the sacred Saraswati River.

Acclaimed film actor and director Puneet Issar, widely recognized for portraying Duryodhana in the legendary Mahabharat TV series, also participated in the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Accompanied by his wife, he took a holy dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam, expressing his deep spiritual reverence for the occasion. The couple also performed devotional rituals and offered prayers to Maa Ganga, seeking divine grace and purification of the soul.
