Legendary devotional singer Lakhbir Singh Lakha recently visited the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago (HTGC) in Lemont as part of his ongoing U.S. tour. Known for his powerful bhajans and Mata Rani ke bhents, Lakha ji is performing at devotional events across the country in a tour hosted by Dr. Avi Verma of Jagran TV.

During his visit, Lakha ji was warmly received by members of the temple’s host committee, who guided him through the sacred premises. He spent time in quiet devotion at various shrines, drawing reverence and excitement from devotees and volunteers alike. A significant moment came when Lakha ji and the committee visited the statue of Swami Vivekananda on the temple grounds, where they offered floral tributes and paid homage to the spiritual icon who introduced Hindu philosophy to the West.
“It’s a blessing to be here in such a sacred space and to experience the devotion of this vibrant community,” Lakha ji said. “Offering prayers at Swami Vivekananda’s statue was a powerful reminder of our shared spiritual mission.”
