In a triumphant spiritual celebration, legendary bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakha has launched his highly anticipated 2025 U.S. tour, “Mela Maiya Da,” receiving resounding acclaim and packed venues. Revered worldwide for timeless devotional classics like “Pyara Saja Hai Tera Dwar Bhawani,” “Shree Ram Janki Bethen Hein Mere Seene Mein,” and “Are Dwarpalo,” Lakha’s return to the United States after nearly two decades was electric.

The tour is spearheaded by Dr. Avi Verma, President of Jai Jagdambe Foundation, Chairman of Midwest Clinicals, and Publisher of IndoUS Tribune. Under his guidance, this event has blossomed into a devotional movement, uniting Indian communities across America in spiritual celebration.

Tour kick-off: Dallas and Virginia

The tour opened to overwhelming response at the DFW Hindu Temple in Dallas on August 1st, followed by a spiritually charged evening at Rajdhani Temple in Chantilly, Virginia on August 2nd.

A night of bhakti and bliss

At both venues, Lakha Ji began the Mata Ki Chowki with his iconic bhajan “Pyara Saja Hai Tera Dwar Bhawani,” instantly drawing the audience into divine ecstasy. Devotees of all ages danced in devotional trance, swept up by nearly three hours of soul-stirring music.

The Dallas program was graciously hosted by Manoj Chopra, President of DFW Hindu Temple, alongside the dedicated temple management team. In Virginia, event coordination was expertly managed by Rajesh Kumar, Satish Kumar, Satish Kapoor, and the Rajdhani Temple Management team, ensuring every detail reflected the spirit of bhakti.

A star is born: Panna Gill captivates the crowd

A highlight of the chowkis was the introduction of Panna Gill, son of Lakhbir Singh Lakha Ji and finalist of Indian Idol Season 2, making his U.S. devotional debut. Panna’s powerful voice and heartfelt bhajans infused the events with youthful energy, captivating audiences so deeply that programs were extended by over an hour.

In response to this enthusiasm, Dr. Avi Verma announced plans to professionally organize a series of devotional and Bollywood musical concerts featuring Panna Gill across North America in 2026. The upcoming tour will include temple performances and full-scale theater productions, with details to be announced soon.

Devotion and organization: the power of collaboration

This spiritual extravaganza is the result of passionate, meticulous work by the Jai Jagdambe Foundation in partnership with Midwest Clinicals and IndoUS Tribune. Dr. Avi Verma, a lifelong patron of Indian culture and spiritual music, continues to enrich the Indian-American community’s cultural landscape.

Dr. Verma shared,“Lakhbir Singh Lakha Ji’s music transcends generations. His bhajans are not just songs—they are prayers, traditions, and emotions woven into sound. This tour is not only a musical journey; it is a spiritual renaissance for our community.”

Following the tremendous success in Dallas and Virginia, Lakhbir Singh Lakha and his team will continue their tour across major U.S. cities, including Chicago, New York, Indiana, St. Louis, Boston, Orlando, and San Jose, California. Dates will be announced on official platforms.
