BJP Criticizes Kejriwal for Deteriorating Delhi Roads and Rising Pollution

BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam visited the Vivek Vihar New Friends Colony underpass on Thursday, where he condemned former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the poor state of Delhi’s roads and increasing pollution levels.

During his visit, Gautam brought along a cutout of Kejriwal labeled “Kattar Corrupt.” While inspecting the damaged roads with BJP workers, he stated, “The condition of the roads is appalling, and pollution is spreading—Kejriwal is solely responsible for this. He has failed to build new schools and hospitals and has not brought any meaningful development to the national capital.”

Gautam urged voters to back the BJP in the upcoming elections, declaring, “Now is the time for change. Delhi needs a capable and progressive government, and the BJP is the only party that can ensure the city’s development.” He stressed the need to remove Kejriwal from power to establish a ‘double engine government’ focused on driving development.

He promised that under BJP leadership, a new era of development would begin in Delhi, reaffirming the party’s commitment to improving infrastructure, including roads and highways.

As the Assembly elections draw near, both the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are actively engaging with the public. While AAP’s National Convener highlights his government’s achievements, the BJP continues to emphasize the ruling party’s failures.

On September 29, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced a plan for road assessment and repairs, assigning all AAP Cabinet ministers the task of identifying poorly maintained roads within a week, after which the Public Works Department (PWD) will initiate repairs. Last week, Atishi, Kejriwal, and other AAP leaders inspected the conditions of Delhi’s roads, assuring citizens that repair work would commence on a war footing.
