‘Legendary Industrialist, True Nationalist’: Condolences Pour in for Ratan Tata

Tributes and condolences flooded in following the announcement of the passing of Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group and one of India’s most esteemed industrialists.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed that Tata was a “legendary industrialist and true nationalist” who would “live on in our hearts.” He wrote on X: “He selflessly dedicated his life to the development of our nation. His zeal and commitment to Bharat and its people amazed me. His legacy will endure. My condolences to the Tata Group and his countless admirers. Om Shanti.”

Prominent political figures from various parties also took to social media to share their grief. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated, “Saddened by the passing of Shri Ratan Tata. He was a titan of Indian industry known for his monumental contributions to our economy. My deepest condolences to his family and admirers.”

BJP President and Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda added, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Ratan Tata Ji, a beacon of philanthropy. His contributions to industry and society have left an indelible mark on our nation. His legacy will continue to inspire generations. Om Shanti!”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi remarked, “Ratan Tata was a man with a vision. He has left a lasting mark on both business and philanthropy. My condolences to his family and the Tata community.”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge noted, “In the passing of Shri Ratan Naval Tata, we have lost an invaluable son of India. He epitomized integrity and ethical leadership, inspiring millions.”

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari shared his heartbreak over Tata’s passing, recalling a close personal relationship that showcased Tata’s humility and respect for everyone. “His life embodied integrity and compassion, serving as an inspiration. His loss is immense for our nation.”

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized Tata’s strong leadership and humanitarian contributions, stating, “His legacy will shine brightly, inspiring generations.”

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia described it as “the end of an era,” praising Tata’s leadership and societal impact.

Other ministers and leaders, including Sarbananda Sonowal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, also expressed their condolences, reflecting on Tata’s immense contributions to industry and philanthropy.

Chief Ministers from various states, including Yogi Adityanath, Mamata Banerjee, and M.K. Stalin, shared their sentiments, highlighting Tata’s significant impact on the nation and his commitment to ethical business practices.
