MP Gears Up for PM Modi, Prez Murmu & HM Shah’s Visit
President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh between February 23 and 26.
Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur district on February 23, where he will lay the foundation stone for a cancer hospital. The hospital is being established by Bageshwar Dham’s head priest, Dhirendra Shastri.
Later in the day, PM Modi will travel to Bhopal and stay overnight at Raj Bhawan. The following morning, on February 24, he will inaugurate the Global Investment Summit (GIS) in Bhopal. The summit will host around 4,000 industrialists and business representatives from several countries, including the US, UK, Japan, and Germany.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav confirmed that the state government had requested PM Modi to inaugurate GIS-2025 and received approval from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also scheduled to attend GIS on its concluding day, February 25. He will address the gathering of industrialists during the closing ceremony.
On February 26, President Murmu will arrive in Chhatarpur to attend a mass marriage ceremony at Bageshwar Dham. A total of 251 girls will be married between February 22 and 26, including 108 girls from the tribal community.
To promote the GIS, the Madhya Pradesh government organized a curtain-raiser event at the Taj Hotel in Delhi on Wednesday. During the event, the state’s new investment policy was highlighted.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav engaged in one-on-one and round table discussions with industrialists, extending an invitation for them to participate in GIS Bhopal on February 24 and 25.
Expressing confidence in Madhya Pradesh’s business-friendly environment, he stated, “We have worked to enhance ease of doing business, benefiting industrialists. Land in Madhya Pradesh is significantly cheaper than in Delhi and Mumbai. During my visit to Japan, industrialists there acknowledged the vast potential of the cotton industry in our state. We have ample water resources, the largest land area after Rajasthan, an extensive highway network, and six airports. We guarantee a 200% return on investment. I invite all of you to invest in Madhya Pradesh.”
