Standing against attacks on Hindu temples in the US and supporting Congressional action

Recent attacks on Hindu temples in the United States have deeply saddened and outraged us all. These places of worship, sacred to millions, have been subjected to vandalism and desecration, causing immense distress within the Indian American community and beyond.

In response to these alarming incidents, distinguished members of the US Congress of Indian Origin – namely, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorti, Promila Jayapal, Ami Bera, Ro Khanna, and Shri Thanedar – have taken a commendable step by addressing this issue in a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Led by our very own Congressman Raja Krishnamoorti, this collective effort underscores the severity of the situation and the urgent need for action.

The attacks on Hindu temples are not isolated incidents. They represent a disturbing trend of religious intolerance and bigotry that has no place in our society. These acts of vandalism not only violate the sanctity of religious institutions but also instill fear and insecurity within the community.

It is unacceptable that such acts of hatred are allowed to persist unchecked. The perpetrators of these crimes must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We urge the US and local authorities to prioritize the protection of Hindu temples and take swift and decisive action to apprehend those responsible.

As a publisher committed to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and religious harmony, I condemn these acts of vandalism in the strongest possible terms. The Indo-US Tribune stands in solidarity with the Indian American community and all those affected by these senseless acts of violence. We call upon our readers to join us in advocating for the protection of religious institutions of all faiths and fostering a culture of tolerance and acceptance in our society.
