EAM Jaishankar meets all-party delegations after global outreach missions

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar met with two Indian multi-party delegations led by Supriya Sule and Shrikant Shinde, following their diplomatic outreach visits to multiple nations. These engagements marked India’s growing efforts to counter terrorism and bolster international support for Operation Sindoor.

Jaishankar acknowledged the delegations’ contributions in building goodwill abroad. “Nice to meet the All Party Delegation headed by Supriya Sule, which visited Qatar, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Egypt,” he posted on X.

Supriya Sule, a Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) MP, highlighted that the team shared valuable feedback with the EAM. “We briefed him on our discussions in each country regarding Operation Sindoor and India’s firm stance against terrorism,” she said.

Addressing criticism that the delegation met only MPs and not top decision-makers, Sule clarified that meetings included high-level dignitaries such as Speakers and Vice Presidents. “MPs are also decision-makers in any democracy,” she stated, noting bipartisan participation that included Congress leaders.

The Sule-led team featured BJP leaders Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Anurag Thakur, and V. Muraleedharan; Congress leaders Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma; AAP’s Vikramjeet Singh Sawhney; TDP’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu; and former envoy Syed Akbaruddin. The delegation engaged with governments, parliaments, think tanks, media, and the Indian diaspora.

V. Muraleedharan termed the tour “productive and meaningful,” as all four host countries strongly condemned terrorism and supported India’s stance.

Separately, Jaishankar also met another all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, which visited the UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone. This team included MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, Manan Kumar Mishra, Sasmit Patra, E.T. Mohammed Basheer, S.S. Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
