Home Minister Amit Shah Congratulates PM Modi on 23 Years in Constitutional Roles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating 23 years in constitutional positions today, having served first as Chief Minister and then as Prime Minister. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a long-time ally, extended his congratulations to Modi on this milestone.

In a post on X, Shah reflected on Modi’s dedication to public service over the years. He wrote in Hindi: “Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi completes 23 years in public life as both Chief Minister and Prime Minister. His unwavering commitment to national interests and public service over these years symbolizes extraordinary dedication. This journey serves as a living inspiration for those engaged in social work. I consider it a privilege to have witnessed Modi ji’s path.”

Shah further emphasized Modi’s holistic approach to governance: “Modi ji has demonstrated how to simultaneously advance the welfare of the poor, enhance national security, and strengthen India’s global identity. Instead of addressing issues in isolation, he has presented a vision for comprehensive solutions.”

He concluded with heartfelt congratulations, stating: “I applaud this nation builder, Modi ji, who tirelessly dedicates himself to the country and its people, marking 23 years of service and commitment.”

Modi first became the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and continued to serve in that role until he ascended to the Prime Ministership in 2014 after winning the Lok Sabha elections. He is currently serving his third consecutive term following the 2024 elections.

Messages of congratulations have poured in from BJP workers, prominent leaders, and personalities from various fields, celebrating Modi’s achievements throughout his tenure.
