UK leaders voice strong support for India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism

Senior UK leaders and lawmakers voiced firm support for India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism during a high-level visit by an all-party Indian delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad. The delegation highlighted Operation Sindoor as a transformative step in India’s counter-terrorism policy.

In meetings with UK ministers, Conservative and Labour party leaders, and think tanks, the delegation underscored India’s commitment to combat cross-border terrorism. The UK officials, including Indo-Pacific Minister Catherine West and Citizenship Minister Seema Malhotra, acknowledged the threat terrorism poses globally and reaffirmed strategic cooperation with India.

The delegation also emphasized that terrorism and economic progress cannot coexist, and called for dismantling global terror infrastructure and financing networks.
