Indian defence delegation visits Morocco to boost strategic cooperation

India has initiated a fresh diplomatic outreach through its defence channels, as a high-level National Defence College (NDC) delegation began a week-long visit to Morocco on June 1. The delegation, led by Major General Ajay Kumar Singh, includes 16 senior Army officers, five of whom are from friendly foreign nations.

The visit aims to strengthen defence cooperation and explore new areas of strategic engagement between India and Morocco. Upon arrival, the delegation was received by the Indian Embassy in Rabat, where Ambassador Sanjay Rana briefed them on bilateral relations and current defence collaboration.

During their stay, the delegates will hold discussions with Moroccan military and administrative leaders to examine the framework for enhanced cooperation.

Meanwhile, an eight-member Indian National Cadet Corps (NCC) team is in Moscow for the Cadet Youth Festival in Kazan, Russia, from June 1–8. The event promotes cross-cultural exchange and camaraderie among cadets from around the world.

These parallel initiatives reflect India’s efforts to enhance global defence engagement and youth diplomacy through strategic visits and cultural exchange.
