Indian MPs arrive in Brussels with united message against terrorism

An all-party Indian Parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad arrived in Brussels on Tuesday with the message of “One Mission, One Message, One India.” The visit is the final leg of a European diplomatic campaign under Operation Sindoor, aimed at building international consensus against Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism.

The delegation, which includes MPs from BJP, Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and former diplomats, was welcomed by Indian Ambassador to the EU, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Saurabh Kumar. Over the next two days, they are scheduled to meet key European policymakers to advance India’s counter-terrorism narrative.

The visit to Brussels follows the delegation’s successful stops in France, Italy, Denmark, and the UK. In London, they met UK Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle, who strongly condemned terrorism and voiced support for India’s stance following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack.

During their UK visit, the delegation also engaged with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on India, UK media representatives, and British MPs across party lines. Discussions centered on India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and the country’s efforts to hold state sponsors of terror accountable, particularly Pakistan.

Addressing media, Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasized the global need to combat terrorism and highlighted concerns over the misuse of international funding by Pakistan. The delegation stressed that India’s fight is not political, but national and humanitarian.

The Brussels visit marks the conclusion of India’s Operation Sindoor diplomacy tour, which has garnered wide international support for India’s commitment to security, sovereignty, and peace.
