President Macron is on an official visit to India from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit 2026. This marks Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first official engagement in Mumbai.

The bilateral talks are scheduled for around 3:15 p.m. at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the leaders will undertake a comprehensive review of cooperation across strategic sectors and explore opportunities in emerging and future-oriented domains. Discussions are also expected to cover pressing regional and international issues.

Later in the evening, the two leaders will jointly inaugurate the India–France Year of Innovation 2026. They are scheduled to address business leaders, start-up founders, researchers, and innovators from both countries, highlighting collaboration in technology, research, and innovation ecosystems.

Leaders from Brazil, Greece, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Mauritius, Spain, the UAE, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, Switzerland, Bolivia, Guyana, Serbia, and Seychelles are expected to attend. Ministerial delegations from over 45 countries, along with the UN Secretary-General and senior international representatives, will also participate.
