PM Modi arrives in Bhubaneswar for 3-day DG/IGP conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday for a three-day visit to Odisha. He was given a grand welcome at the Biju Patnaik International Airport and later proceeded in a motorcade to a special felicitation event organized by the Odisha BJP near the airport, where he addressed enthusiastic party workers.

After the event, PM Modi headed to the Governor’s house for a meeting and was greeted by thousands of people along the road to Raj Bhawan. Cultural troupes from various parts of the state performed traditional music and dances to honor the Prime Minister’s visit.

In the evening, PM Modi will meet with BJP leaders, including MLAs, MPs, ministers, and core committee members, at the party’s state office. Later, he is scheduled to have dinner and a photo session with party leaders.

On November 30, PM Modi will attend the All-India Conference of Director Generals and Inspectors General of Police (DG/IGP), which will be held at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar. The conference, running until December 1, will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and attended by top officials including the Principal Secretary to the PM, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and various state DGPs and heads of central police organizations.

This is the first time Odisha is hosting the DG/IGP conference, which has previously been held in cities like Guwahati, Hyderabad, Pune, and New Delhi. Due to the presence of several VVIPs, including PM Modi, tight security measures have been implemented across the city.
