Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Christian Stocker on being sworn in as Austria’s new Federal Chancellor and expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Stocker took office at Hofburg on Monday, leading a coalition government amid political challenges. Modi, in a post on X, emphasized the steady progress of the India-Austria Enhanced Partnership and looked forward to deepening cooperation.

India and Austria have shared diplomatic ties since 1949, celebrating 70 years of relations in 2019. With Stocker now in charge, both nations aim to further strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation.
