PM Modi releases 19th instalment of PM-KISAN, over 9.8 crore farmers get money in accounts
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday transferred the 19th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) into the accounts of crores of farmers, marking the occasion from Bhagalpur district in Bihar. A total of Rs 22,000 crore was credited to over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore female farmers, through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
This new instalment of PM-KISAN further reinforces the Centre’s commitment to rural development and agricultural prosperity. The previous 18th instalment of PM-KISAN had been disbursed by the Prime Minister in October 2024 from Maharashtra’s Washim, benefiting over 9.4 crore farmers and transferring more than Rs 20,000 crore.
Since its inception in February 2025, the PM-KISAN scheme has successfully disbursed more than Rs 3.46 lakh crore in 18 instalments. Earlier in the day, PM Modi also took to social media on X to reiterate the government’s dedication to farmer welfare.
In his post, the Prime Minister expressed pride in India’s farmers and the government’s continuous efforts to improve their lives. “We are proud of our Annadatas, and our commitment to improving their lives is reflected in our efforts,” he wrote.
PM Modi also expressed his satisfaction with the success of the PM-KISAN scheme, which has completed six years and continues to support millions of farmers across the country. He emphasized that nearly Rs 3.5 lakh crore has reached the farmers’ accounts, contributing to their dignity, prosperity, and empowerment.
