Punjab CM Honors Ratan Tata’s Legacy of Commitment and Simplicity

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed deep sorrow on Thursday over the passing of renowned industrialist Ratan Tata at the age of 86 in Mumbai, stating that Tata’s commitment and simplicity will continue to inspire future generations.

In his condolence message, CM Mann highlighted Tata’s significant contributions to ushering in a new era of industrial development in India. He praised Tata for transforming Tata Sons into a global powerhouse, which significantly accelerated the nation’s industrial growth.

“The hard work, commitment, and simplicity of Ratan Tata will inspire young people to carve their own paths in their chosen fields,” he said.

Mann noted that Tata’s death marks the end of an era, emphasizing that the void left by his passing is unlikely to be filled anytime soon. He added that the entire country is in shock over the loss of the business visionary who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India’s industrial landscape.

Offering heartfelt condolences to Tata’s family, relatives, and friends, CM Mann prayed for their strength during this difficult time.

Ratan Tata’s body will be available for public viewing at the NCPA Lawns in Nariman Point before the state funeral in Worli, Mumbai, as confirmed by government and Tata Group officials. The Maharashtra government has announced that he will receive a funeral with full state honors in the evening, along with a day of official mourning in memory of the business titan, reflecting the sorrow that has permeated the corporate world following the sad news.

Tata passed away at Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been admitted on Monday due to age-related health issues.
