Qatar backs India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism

Qatar has expressed strong support for India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, particularly in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

During a meeting in Doha, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, conveyed his nation’s solidarity with India to a visiting all-party Indian delegation led by NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule.

The Indian Embassy in Qatar shared that the delegation highlighted India’s unified stance against cross-border terrorism, especially from Pakistan, and reaffirmed its commitment to national security.

The delegation held productive talks with Qatar’s Shura Council, which echoed India’s views on combating terrorism and supporting regional stability.

Congress MP Manish Tewari emphasized that India reserves the right to defend itself against proxy wars and terrorist threats.

The delegation, which includes lawmakers across party lines and former diplomat Syed Akbaruddin, also engaged with Qatari media and think tanks to share India’s perspective on recent security challenges.
