Tejashwi Yadav Slams BJP MP Pradeep Singh for Provocative Remarks

Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has strongly condemned the controversial remarks made by BJP MP Pradeep Singh from Araria.

Singh’s statements, which were criticized for their communal undertones, prompted a swift response from Yadav, who stressed that targeting minority communities with divisive rhetoric would not be tolerated.

In a Facebook Live session, Yadav declared that both he and the RJD would take firm action against those inciting communal tensions in Bihar. He urged the public to prioritize real issues such as education, irrigation, and economic development, rather than succumbing to tactics aimed at creating divisions between Hindus and Muslims.

“The communal forces attempting to create discord must be opposed. Every community, regardless of religion, has contributed to our nation’s freedom and progress,” he stated, calling for unity and development to steer Bihar away from communal strife.

Yadav assured the public that he would staunchly resist any efforts to foster communalism in the state. He warned leaders who make inflammatory statements, asserting that anyone targeting Muslims would face repercussions.

He also criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for allegedly supporting those who spread hate, claiming that Kumar is providing enhanced security to leaders like Pradeep Singh who engage in divisive rhetoric.

Yadav pointed out that Singh’s inflammatory remark during the ‘Hindu Swabhiman Yatra’ led by Union Minister Giriraj Singh—stating, “If you want to live in Araria, you must become a Hindu”—sparked outrage both in Bihar and nationally. This drew sharp criticism from the RJD and Yadav, who reiterated the need to focus on unity and pressing issues like education and development rather than divisive communal agendas.
