US President Donald Trump praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping during an interview with CBS’ 60 Minutes, calling both “tough and smart” leaders who must be taken seriously.

“These are serious people. These are people that are tough, smart leaders,” Trump said when asked who was tougher to deal with.

Trump also claimed credit for halting “eight wars” during his presidency and reiterated that the Russia–Ukraine conflict would be resolved under his watch. He further confirmed plans to resume US nuclear testing, asserting that other nations, including Russia, China, and North Korea, are already conducting such tests.
