In a night of intense political rallies, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump packed New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, while Vice President Kamala Harris rallied thousands alongside celebrities Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce in key battleground states.
Trump’s rally at the famed New York venue drew an enthusiastic crowd with a lineup of allies, including former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who used divisive language as they rallied support. Trump continued his hardline stance, pledging an aggressive approach to immigration and promising a nationwide crackdown on sanctuary cities. Calling Harris “a very low IQ individual,” he accused the current administration of mismanaging both the economy and immigration, positioning himself as the answer to reversing their policies.
The evening also drew criticism, with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton likening Trump’s rally to the 1939 pro-Nazi event at the same venue, an accusation Trump dismissed, stating, “This is called Make America Great Again, that’s all this is.”
Meanwhile, Harris maintained a contrasting tone. With a crowd of over 30,000 in Houston, the vice president held rallies in Philadelphia and Atlanta, using her platform to emphasize her commitment to diversity and unity. In Houston, pop icon Beyonce joined her on stage, drawing significant media attention, while Bruce Springsteen played to a crowd in Atlanta.
The two rallies underscored the candidates’ contrasting styles: Trump focused on grievances and pointed attacks on Harris’s record, while Harris embraced a message of resilience and hope. With polls showing the candidates neck and neck, these high-energy events highlight the high stakes as Election Day nears.
