Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant has been appointed as Chair of the French Alps 2030 Coordination Commission by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Bringing extensive experience to the role, Beckers-Vieujant previously led the Coordination Commission for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, as noted by the IOC.

The IOC highlighted that he has developed a profound understanding of the French governance and sports landscape, forging strong relationships with French authorities, sports organizations, and the broader community.

IOC President Thomas Bach praised Beckers-Vieujant’s knowledge, insight, and leadership, stating, “His track record with Paris 2024 and understanding of the French system make him the ideal choice for the Winter Games in French Alps 2030.”
