India wins 11 golds at Asian U-15 Boxing Championships

India clinched the top spot at the Asian U-15 Boxing Championships with a remarkable 25-medal haul, including 11 golds, thanks largely to a dominant performance by the young girls’ squad.

Indian girls stole the spotlight, winning all 10 final bouts across their weight categories and securing 10 golds alongside four bronze medals. Komal (30–33 kg) set the tone with a narrow 3:2 win, while others like Khushi Ahlawat (35 kg) and Tamanna (37 kg) delivered strong performances, including a second-round RSC win for Tamanna.

Boxers Svi, Milky Meinam, Princi, Navya, Sunaina, Trushana Mohite, and Vanshika all posted unanimous victories, showcasing India’s depth and dominance in youth boxing.

BFI president Ajay Singh praised the performance: “Hearing the national anthem play eleven times and seeing India on top filled us with pride. These young boxers are future Olympic champions.”

In the boys’ finals, Sanskar Vinod (35 kg) brought home gold, while Rudraksh Singh Khaidem (46 kg), Abhijeet (61 kg), and Lakshay Phogat (64 kg) settled for silver. India’s boys added to the overall medal tally with earlier bronze wins.

With seven U-17 boxers set to compete in their respective finals, India looks to cap the tournament with further glory on Day 11.
