Richie Richardson to Oversee Match Control in Pakistan’s Home Tests Against England

West Indies cricket legend Richie Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the match control teams for the upcoming three-match Test series between Pakistan and England. The series is set to take place in Multan and Rawalpindi from October 7 to 28.

Both teams are eager to enhance their standings in the World Test Championship, with the first Test scheduled at Multan Cricket Stadium from October 7 to 11.

For the opening Test, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena and Bangladesh’s Sharfuddoula Saikat, both part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as on-field umpires. New Zealand’s Christopher Gaffaney, also from the ICC Elite Panel, will act as the third umpire, while Pakistan’s Asif Yaqoob, from the ICC International Panel, will take on the role of fourth umpire.

The second Test, set for October 15 to 19 at the same venue, will see Dharmasena continuing as an on-field umpire, joined by Gaffaney. Sharfuddoula Saikat will take on the third umpire role, with Pakistan’s Rashid Riaz, also from the ICC International Panel, serving as the fourth umpire.

The series will conclude at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where the third and final Test will commence on October 24. Gaffaney and Sharfuddoula Saikat will again be the on-field umpires, while Dharmasena will switch to the third umpire position, and Pakistan’s Faisal Aafreedi will serve as the fourth umpire.
