Ethiopian PM Appoints Three New Cabinet Members, Including Foreign Minister

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed three new Cabinet members, including a new Minister of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Office of the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Gedion Timothewos has been named as the new Foreign Minister, succeeding Taye Atske Selassie, who was appointed as the Ethiopian President earlier this month by the Parliament. Timothewos previously served as the Minister of Justice.

Hanna Arayaselassie, the former Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, has been appointed as the new Minister of Justice, taking over from Timothewos.

Selamawit Kassa, who previously held the position of State Minister for the Ethiopian Government Communication Service, has been appointed as the Minister of Tourism.
