Baloch student Fahad Lehri latest victim of Pakistan’s ‘kill and dump’ policy

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has condemned the killing of Baloch student Fahad Lehri, calling it part of Pakistan’s continued “kill and dump” strategy to silence dissent in Balochistan.

Fahad, a student from Mastung, was forcibly disappeared on May 4, and his bullet-ridden body was found on Wednesday. The BYC said he was denied legal recourse and killed for simply being a Baloch youth.

The group also reported the death of 7-year-old Rokia Baloch, fatally shot during an alleged indiscriminate firing by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps in Panjgur. She died due to inadequate healthcare facilities.

The BYC urged international human rights groups to address the rising state-led violence and humanitarian crisis in Balochistan.
