India-Central Asia Dialogue to deepen anti-terror and regional partnerships
Foreign ministers from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan will arrive in New Delhi on Thursday for the 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue. Hosted by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, the two-day summit will focus on boosting regional cooperation, especially on counter-terrorism and de-radicalisation efforts.
The ministers will also attend the India-Central Asia Business Council meeting and are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The dialogue builds on growing ties through past summits, trade, and historic cultural linkages. Topics to be discussed include connectivity, security, development, and India’s broader strategic role in the region. India’s ancient spiritual, cultural, and economic connections with Central Asia will also be highlighted.
