India marked a strong presence at the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), with Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth meeting Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the event’s grand opening.
During their interaction, PM Ibrahim conveyed warm greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hailed India as a key regional partner. In his inaugural speech, he acknowledged India’s participation in LIMA as a significant contribution.
Held from May 20 to 24 in Langkawi, LIMA is a premier defence and aerospace exhibition in the Asia-Pacific. India has set up a dedicated pavilion showcasing its indigenous defence capabilities, featuring top Defence Public Sector Undertakings like HAL, BEML, and private firms.
India also deployed a Dornier aircraft and a naval ship to underscore its maritime strength. Sanjay Seth is expected to meet Malaysian Defence Minister Khaled Nordin to further strengthen bilateral defence ties under the 2024 Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
