Indian diaspora in Qatar backs Operation Sindoor
Members of the Indian diaspora in Qatar expressed strong support for the Indian Armed Forces and the Modi government’s firm stance against terrorism during a community interaction held in Doha. The event was part of an all-party parliamentary delegation’s visit under the Operation Sindoor diplomatic outreach.
The delegation, led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, is on a four-nation tour following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam. Qatar was the first stop.
“At an interaction with the Indian community in Doha tonight, the parliamentary delegation from India gave the message of India’s united fight against terrorism. This was the concluding program of their visit,” the Indian Embassy in Doha posted on X.
Community members in Doha praised Operation Sindoor as a decisive response to cross-border terrorism. “We want our Armed Forces to carry forward the message our Prime Minister is sending — that terrorism from Pakistan will be seen as an act of war,” said one member.
Others lauded the multi-party nature of the delegation and the transparency of the mission. “India stands united on national security,” one participant said. “It was important to learn in detail about the government’s actions and the zero-tolerance policy.”
The MPs also held meetings with Qatari dignitaries, think tanks, and media outlets during their visit, with the Indian Embassy calling the engagements “fruitful.” The visit highlighted the strength of people-to-people ties and the solidarity of the Indian community abroad in the fight against terrorism.
