Indian NCC cadets in Russia for Cadet Youth Festival to boost cultural exchange
An eight-member Indian National Cadet Corps (NCC) delegation has arrived in Moscow to participate in the Cadet Youth Festival in Kazan, Russia, from June 1 to 8. The festival brings together cadets from multiple nations to foster global camaraderie through cultural exchange and cooperation.
The Indian team includes six cadets who will represent the country at this prestigious international event. Sharing the update, the NCC posted on X, “NCC delegation of 6 Cadets arrives in Moscow to represent India at the Cadet Youth Festival in Kazan, Russia (01–08 June). Strengthening global cadet ties through friendship & cultural exchange.”
The NCC has a longstanding history of youth exchange programs with Russia under the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), allowing cadets to engage in cultural, academic, and military activities. Past exchanges have included visits to cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Belgorod, and Kursk.
These initiatives have helped strengthen bilateral youth ties and provide cadets with rich cross-cultural experiences. The participation in the 2025 festival continues this tradition, reinforcing India’s commitment to international cultural diplomacy through youth engagement.
