NSA Doval briefs key nations on Operation Sindoor
In the wake of Operation Sindoor, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held high-level conversations with his counterparts and top security officials from major global powers on Wednesday, briefing them on India’s targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
According to official sources, Doval engaged in discussions with:
- US NSA and Secretary of State Marco Rubio
- UK NSA Jonathan Powell
- Saudi NSA Musaid Al Aiban
- UAE NSA Sheikh Tahnoon and NSC Secretary General Ali Al Shamsi
- Japanese NSA Masataka Okano
- Russian NSA Sergei Shoigu
- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi
- French Presidential Diplomatic Advisor Emmanuel Bonne
Doval conveyed that India’s strikes were “measured, non-escalatory, and executed with restraint,” targeting terror camps operated by groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen, and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). He underscored that while India does not seek further escalation, it is fully prepared to defend itself against any retaliation.
The diplomatic outreach is being interpreted as a calculated step to align international perception with India’s stance—that the strikes are part of the global effort to combat terrorism, not an act of aggression.
Tuesday night’s strikes hit strategic locations in Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Barnala, which were known to house terror training facilities linked to previous attacks such as the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the 2023 Poonch pilgrimage assault.
Officials noted that Doval will maintain active dialogue with global security counterparts as developments unfold.
Experts say India’s dual strategy of decisive military action and proactive diplomacy sends a clear message: India will act firmly against terrorism while engaging responsibly with the world to maintain regional stability.
