Two people were killed and one is still missing after multiple pedestrians were struck by a train near the Miles Newton Bridge in Fremont, Ohio, on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the city of Fremont, located between Toledo and Cleveland along Lake Erie. Emergency responders, including the Fremont Police Department, launched a search in the nearby Sandusky River for the missing individual.

Fremont Mayor Danny Sanchez confirmed the deaths of two adults but said their identities would not be released until their families are notified. No further details have been shared about other possible injuries.
