Operation Sindoor proved India’s military-tech edge: US expert
Operation Sindoor wasn’t just a military victory but a strategic showcase of India’s defence self-reliance, says top US warfare analyst John Spencer.
In his detailed report, Spencer noted that India’s use of indigenous systems like the BrahMos missile, Rudram-1, Akash SAMs, and AI-powered Akashteer air defence proved the success of the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives under fire.
India deployed Rafale jets, Su-30MKIs, Mirage 2000s, and loitering munitions like Harop and SkyStriker drones with precision to neutralize terror targets and air defences, while Pakistan’s Chinese-supplied systems failed to withstand the onslaught.
Spencer, Chair of Urban Warfare Studies at the Modern War Institute, concluded that India’s battlefield dominance and tech performance sent a clear message: India is now a self-reliant defence power.
