India begins Operation Sindoor outreach in Japan

A high-level all-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Japan on Thursday, kicking off India’s global diplomatic initiative, Operation Sindoor, aimed at exposing Pakistan’s support for cross-border terrorism.

The delegation includes prominent leaders from across the political spectrum, including BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M)’s John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid.

Welcomed by Indian Ambassador to Japan Sibi George, the group will engage with Japanese officials, civil society, and media to highlight India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives.

Sanjay Jha emphasized India’s commitment to peace and democratic values in a social media post, stating, “India’s measured response in Operation Sindoor showed our zero-tolerance approach. Japan and India stand united.”

The campaign, coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs, spans 33 countries between May 21 and June 5. Delegates will present evidence of Pakistan’s links to terror groups like LeT and JeM, aiming to build international consensus against state-sponsored terrorism.
