Panama President supports India’s anti-terror stand

Panama President Jose Raul Mulino Quintero expressed firm support for India’s stand against terrorism during a meeting with an Indian all-party delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.

The meeting at the Presidential Palace was part of India’s global outreach following the Pahalgam terror attack. Tharoor posted that the discussion was “constructive and productive,” with the President reaffirming Panama’s support.

The delegation included MPs from across parties, including the BJP, Shiv Sena, JMM, TDP, and Lok Janshakti Party. They also met Foreign Minister Javier Martinez-Acha and Vice-Minister Carlos Hoyos to discuss Operation Sindoor and cross-border terrorism.

The group paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the University of Panama and engaged with the local Indian diaspora. Panama’s National Assembly President Dana Castaneda reiterated her country’s solidarity with India’s peace and anti-terror efforts.
