South Korea to Provide $500,000 in Aid to Flood-Affected Nepal

South Korea has announced a $500,000 humanitarian aid package for Nepal to support relief efforts following devastating floods and landslides. The South Korean foreign ministry made the announcement on Tuesday.

The recent monsoon rains in Nepal have resulted in over 200 fatalities, with many individuals still unaccounted for, as reported by foreign media, including Yonhap news agency.

“Our government hopes this aid will assist in the recovery of the affected areas and help local residents return to their daily lives as soon as possible,” the ministry stated in a release.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to supporting Nepal’s ongoing relief efforts in light of the recent heavy rainfall.
