Two explosions were recorded in the city of Palmyra in central Syria shortly after midnight on Saturday, according to a war monitor.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that one explosion occurred inside a hangar near Palmyra Military Airport, which was being used as a weapons depot. The second blast took place in a two-story building in the city’s eastern neighborhood, approximately one kilometer from the hangar.
The observatory noted that the cause of the explosions remains unclear, and the area surrounding the hangar is heavily secured, containing eight similar storage facilities. There have been no immediate reports of casualties.
