The Art of Living Chicago community celebrated the birthday of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Shree Radhey Shyam Temple in Bloomingdale, Chicago, on May 13, 2026. The gathering drew a wide participation of Indian American community members, including Vinesh Virani, Preeti Bala, Devi G Vora, Indra Sharma, Dr Avi Verma, and Nita Virani, alongside representatives from the Indian Association of Greater Chicago and other local community groups.
The celebration combined spiritual observance with community service, as participants organized a food drive in support of a local food pantry. Organizers said the initiative was inspired by Gurudev’s teachings on compassion and selfless service, aiming to extend the spirit of the occasion into meaningful social impact.
Set in a devotional and culturally vibrant atmosphere, the event brought together families and volunteers from across the Chicago Indian American community in a shared expression of gratitude and celebration. IndoUS Tribune extends warm birthday wishes to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
