Grand preparations underway for 22nd foundation day celebrations at Joshi Nagar Dham
A wave of devotion, community service, and spiritual enthusiasm is sweeping through the Siddh Peeth Mahabali Sankatmochan Shri Hanuman Temple in Joshi Nagar, Shankaracharya Nagar, Haibowal Kalan, as preparations intensify for the temple’s 22nd annual Foundation Day celebrations scheduled for May 27.
With only a few days remaining for the grand religious event, the temple complex has transformed into a vibrant center of activity. Devotees and volunteers are working tirelessly day and night to decorate the premises and finalize arrangements for the large influx of worshippers expected from Punjab and neighboring states.
Temple management representatives said that extensive preparations are being made to ensure the celebrations are conducted smoothly and on a grand scale. Special meetings are being organized with volunteers and department coordinators to allocate responsibilities related to hospitality, langar service, security, crowd management, bhajan-kirtan, and other religious activities.
The upcoming Foundation Day is being viewed not merely as an annual observance, but as a spiritual festival for devotees of Shri Balaji Maharaj. The temple has witnessed a significant rise in footfall in recent days, with many devotees eager to participate in seva during the celebrations. Organizers noted that several devotees consider receiving any form of service duty during the event as a blessing.
As part of the lead-up to the celebrations, invitation drives are being conducted across different parts of the city with deep religious fervor. During these visits, devotees have been seen respectfully placing invitation cards on their foreheads while chanting slogans expressing their unwavering faith in Balaji Maharaj, reflecting the deep emotional and spiritual bond shared with the temple.
Religious programs including weekly Sandhya Chowki, Hanuman Chalisa recitations, havan yajna, and devotional singing are also being organized regularly at the temple premises. During a recent evening congregation, the sacred flag of Shri Balaji Maharaj was ceremonially hoisted and devotees were blessed with holy water sprinkling amid devotional chants and bhajans.
Community members associated with the temple said the growing popularity of the shrine and the ever-increasing number of devotees visiting the temple symbolize the strong faith people have in the spiritual center. They also emphasized that the celebrations are being made possible through collective community participation, voluntary service, and devotional dedication.
The Foundation Day celebrations are expected to attract thousands of devotees and are likely to become one of the major spiritual gatherings in the region this month.
