The Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago hosted a vibrant and high-energy Gujarati ‘Dhamaal’ concert, ‘Mor Bani Thangat Kare’, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, drawing an audience of over 1,000 members at the India Hub.

The evening opened with BSC Secretary Rakshika Anjaria sharing updates on upcoming community initiatives. Presented by national promoter Bhavana Modi of ‘Manpasand,’ the event brought together a rich blend of culture, music, and nostalgia.

Renowned singers Disha Patel and Sanket Patel captivated the audience with soulful renditions of folk songs and poetry by Jhaverchand Meghani. Their performances of traditional Garba and popular folk melodies created an atmosphere of joy and cultural pride, keeping the senior audience fully engaged throughout the evening.

The program was skillfully anchored by Jigna Gandhi, whose lively and polished presentation added warmth and seamless continuity to the event.

A special highlight was the welcome of Melissa Bean, Democratic Party candidate for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District. She was honored with a floral welcome by community leaders Vandana Jhingan, Vinesh Virani, and BSC President Haribhai Patel. In her brief address, Bean spoke about the upcoming November elections and encouraged attendees to participate actively in the democratic process.

The evening concluded with a dinner, leaving attendees with a memorable cultural experience marked by music, community bonding, and celebration.
