Young Gujarati achiever brings pride to Bhavnagar and Gujarat

A young achiever from Bhavnagar, Gujarat, brought pride to his hometown and the Indian community in the United States by winning the “National Flag Quiz” organized in Seattle as part of celebrations marking India’s Independence Day.

The special program, organized by the Consulate General of India in Seattle, brought together members of the Indian-American community and distinguished guests to celebrate India’s rich heritage, national pride and the spirit of Independence.

Siddharth Ajaybhai Seth of Bhavnagar emerged as the winner of the National Flag Quiz, earning recognition for his knowledge of India’s national flag and its significance. In a special moment of honor, Siddharth was felicitated by legendary Indian cricketer Padma Bhushan awardee Sunil Gavaskar, widely celebrated as one of India’s greatest batsmen and affectionately known as the “Little Master.”

The recognition by a sporting icon of Gavaskar’s stature made the occasion particularly memorable for Siddharth and his family. His achievement also brought considerable pride to Bhavnagar and Gujarat.

The Independence Day celebration was attended by Consul General of India in Seattle Prakash Gupta, along with local mayors, elected representatives, business leaders, industrialists, CEOs, community leaders and prominent members of the Indian diaspora.

The event showcased the strong connection of the Indian-American community with India and provided a vibrant display of patriotism, national pride and Indian cultural heritage.

For Bhavnagar, Siddharth Seth’s achievement carries special significance. To be recognized on an international platform and felicitated by a cricket legend such as Sunil Gavaskar is an honor that reflects not only his individual accomplishment but also the growing achievements of young Indians and Indian Americans on the global stage.
