John Abraham praises Indian diplomat J.P. Singh in ‘The Diplomat’
Bollywood action star John Abraham, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘The Diplomat’, spoke about meeting real-life Indian diplomat J.P. Singh on set and closely observing his body language and demeanor.
The film, based on true events, follows the story of an Indian diplomat on a mission to rescue an Indian woman from Pakistan. John also shared insights into the workshops he attended to prepare for the role.
Talking about his interaction with J.P. Singh, John said:
“J.P. Singh sir came on set, and I observed his body language, the way he spoke—very sweet, simple. But like a chess player thinking 10 moves ahead, he always has a strategy in mind.”
“He speaks calmly, but he has already planned his next 10 moves—that’s how a diplomat behaves.”
John on geo-political anxiety
In an interview with IANS, John admitted that he experiences geo-political anxiety, much like some people experience environmental anxiety.
Referring to the recent bombings in Damascus, he said:
“Just when Damascus was getting back in shape—what’s gone wrong? I have this geo-political anxiety. You know how people have environmental anxiety? I have geo-political anxiety. What’s happening to the world?”
