FairPoint: Calling time on Pakistan’s pretence, India leads where others flinch
It’s time India adopts a bold, unwavering stance against Pakistan at every international forum. With Operation Sindoor, India has shed decades of restraint and shown that national security is not negotiable — the battle against terrorism must be owned and fought alone if global allies hesitate.
The April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, marked a grim escalation. India’s response was swift, strategic, and unapologetic. Operation Sindoor didn’t just neutralize the perpetrators — it sent a firm message that New Delhi will no longer manage terrorism, it will root out its source.
Yet, global reactions revealed stark contradictions. While many nations condemned the attack, their silence on India’s counterstrike exposed diplomatic hypocrisy. The U.S., in particular, disappointed New Delhi by backing away from holding Pakistan accountable — a shift that cannot be ignored.
India is now taking the diplomatic offensive global, exposing Pakistan’s duplicity and using forums like the United Nations, SCO, and BRICS to demand accountability. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s refusal to sign the SCO joint statement stood out — a visible rejection of both Islamabad’s and Beijing’s tacit support for terrorism.
India’s position on the Indus Waters Treaty is another inflection point. Calling Pakistan’s arbitration plea a “charade,” India asserted that goodwill cannot survive when one partner harbours terrorism.
The world must now hear a consistent, confident India that leads, not pleads. The goal is not provocation but resolution — a regional and global order where state-sponsored terror has no cover.
Operation Sindoor is not the end. It is the beginning of India’s zero-tolerance doctrine — a call to action, not just for itself, but for all nations that suffer silently.
