Tensions in the Middle East escalated further after Nikki Haley claimed that a recently seized Iranian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz was carrying chemical materials linked to missile production and had originated from China.

According to Haley, the ship—intercepted by U.S. naval forces over the weekend—was en route to Iran and allegedly ignored repeated warnings to halt. She described the seizure as evidence of a broader and increasingly concerning geopolitical reality, suggesting that Chinese support for Iran’s military capabilities could no longer be dismissed.
